An Epic Historical Drama of Family, Faith, and Survival
Inspired by George Washington's Army and Me by Award Winning Author and Illustrator Michael Dooling.
“Elijah and George: A Revolutionary Tale” brings audiences into the little-known world of General George Washington’s Civilian Army—the nearly 2,000 women, children, and men who supported the soldiers during the American Revolutionary War.
An epic historical drama, this inspirational story follows the adventures of Elijah, a ten-year-old farm boy, and his faithful dog Jack, as they encounter famous figures and unsung heroes from Valley Forge through the 1778 Battle of Monmouth.
Based on letters and diaries from the period, the film is part love story and part American history—blending action, adventure, drama, moments of humor, and a pivotal battle scene. The story is unifying, drawing audiences into the characters’ struggles and triumphs as they endure and overcome hardship in the name of faith, family, freedom, and home.
While the movie is fictional, the story highlights 60+ characters and 600+ special extras, many inspired by real people, bringing faces to individuals from all walks of life, from around the world, who joined the fight for freedom. The Oneida Indian Nation, Germans, French, free Black men and women, enslaved people, Irish, Spanish, rich and poor—merchants, bankers, and Irish dirt farmers—they put their differences aside to come together for one common goal: "Freedom from Tyranny.”
With full financial support, we are prepped to roll camera in 2026.
